The repertoire is a mix of traditional, contemporary and self-penned tunes and songs arranged in such a way that the listener may instantly recognise a melody but then occasionally hesitate as the words and unusual musical chords create a moment of unfamiliarity. The result is more often a feeling of being uplifted and energised by the music, while at times the mood is one of longing and inner thought about old Cornish and Celtic celebration and ritual.
Our music is suitable for all occasions where traditional music is the desire - dances, weddings, parties, festivals and other celebrations. It creates a feeling of attachment to and inclusion in the culture of Cornwall, even for those who were not born in the county but want to celebrate its living heritage.
